Somanya Video Tour

This is the video that we edited for the Sunday service (a first for their church) that Chad used to talk about having an intimate understanding of our God, our neighbors, and our community. We said that if we didn’t engage with people where they are, we may never meet them. We can not expect them to simply come to us! Our message was that for them to change their community, they must grow intimately close with eachother, with eachothers needs, and with eachothers issues. At the end of the service, the entire congregation joined together in two circles around the wall of the chuch, arm in arm, standing together as a family. It was a powerful visual.

    Hi Amy and Chad,
I think I’ve watched the last two videos 15 times already and it’s only 2:00pm Monday. I’m sitting here with tears streaming down my face. God has answered my prayer for you both, I can see it in your faces. Only 5 days and you’re beginning to see “my” Africa. Aren’t the people incredible. Have you ever seen such smiles and the love that pours out of the children. Can you believe the way the people worship and the love they have for our God. I hope you taped the Friday service and Sundays also. I can’t wait to see it all! Amy you asked if you could bring me back anything. I’d love one of those pottery bowls that are in the video and a shirt like the one you had on in the picture of Sundays service. Thank you also for the video for the kids, they will be excited to watch it before they get in bed. My love to you both and continue to bless everyone you come in contact with. This will be an experience you will never forget. I so wish I was there with you. Give Pastor Sackey a hug for me. I love you, XXXX’s & OOO’s Mom
